My Girlfriend Switched to E-Cigarettes – Thank God!

I’ve seen ads all over the place for “top electronic cigarettes” and was pretty sceptical of them. I mean, if they’re advertised that aggressively, it’s gotta be a load of bunk, right?

Then one day my partner came home with an electronic cigarette she’d gotten from a coworker. Since her smoking habit really grosses me out, I figured I’d be supportive and check them out. I did some research on electronic cigarette reviews to get some more information. A couple hours of going through electronic smoke reviews turned out to be pretty informative. While these are pretty new to the market, there is some research out of New Zealand that deems them to be “a safe alternative to smoking”.[1]

They were pretty simple to use. You just suck on them to start them up, and since you don’t light them she wasn’t constantly fumbling around looking for a lost lighter. Charging wasn’t too much of a hassle, either. She’s not a chain-smoker, so it wasn’t a hardship to find time to plug the e-cigarette in to a USB to recharge.

After she’d been smoking them for a couple days I definitely noticed some improvements. The e-cigarettes don’t turn her fingers yellow or stain her teeth, her clothes don’t smell and kissing her no longer tastes like a sucking on an exhaust pipe.

Financially, it was a better deal, too. Typically she goes through a pack every two days, and around here a pack is $10 each for the low-end brands. So, with traditional cigarettes, she usually spends at least $30 a weeks.

Since it seemed to be going rather well, we decided to check out some more electronic cigarette reviews to find out which brands are the top electronic cigarettes to give her the best bang for her buck.   The electronic smoke reviews seemed to favour the White Cloud electronic cigarettes, so that’s the kind she’s gotten and both of us are pretty happy with the choice.

She’s been switched over completely for about two months now, and it’s going well. I don’t mind travelling in the car with her in rush hour traffic, because she can have an e-smoke to mellow out without choking me out of the car. And since the vapour doesn’t smell, I don’t chase her outside of our apartment with it.

My only regret is that we didn’t try these ages ago.
